Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate is a phosphorylated sodium salt of L-Ascorbic acid.Greater than 10% concentration of Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate has been clinically demonstrated to reduce skin roughness and intensity of age spots.It is also used in the treatment of acne vulgaris.Altough,Vitamin C is a well known skin whitening agent, its application is limited due to the fact that it is easily discolored by oxidation.On the other hand, the stability of Vitamin C derivatives can be improved by converting it into other derivatives - Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate is highly improved and once it is absorbed by skin, it quickly decomposes into Vitamin C exert the physiological action of Vitamin C.
